In June 2019, Modesta entered the deliberately provocative world of Crazy Horse Paris as the "Bionic Showgirl," transforming the cabaret stage into a laboratory of prosthetic couture. Created with Crazy Horse creative director Andrée Deissenberg and music producer Madeaux, the performance used three custom prostheses, including a stark white pinnacle spike and another fitted with internal lighting that shifted through neon colors. The look treated the altered body as a designed architectural surface, replacing the conventional cabaret fantasy of seamless physical perfection with visible hardware, exaggerated geometry, and controlled artificial illumination. Modesta's wider collaborations intensified that science-fiction effect: with United Nude she developed a high-heeled shoe capable of housing electronics for a prosthetic fitted with Tesla coils, used in a 2019 Rolls-Royce Black Badge art film. The spectacle was presented as a challenge to stereotypical femininity, although its setting also exposed the tension at the heart of fashion and cabaret: bodily difference could be celebrated as radical self-expression while simultaneously being packaged as luxury entertainment.
