The Rookie, the Demand, and the Money
Kyle Boone accused Kongo Kong of assault, forced exposure, and taking his earnings. Kong apologized and said they continued working together.
Kyle Boone said Kongo Kong gave him a choice in a wrestling locker room: show his penis or hand over the money he had made from merchandise. Boone said he had entered the room after missing a small spot in his fifth show. He said Kong scolded him for the mistake and for not selling Kong's chokeslam enough. Boone's account put the confrontation in the narrow space where performance, rank, and a night's earnings met.
Boone said people watched and laughed while Kong scolded him. He said the confrontation lasted about 20 minutes. Boone said he exposed himself in response to Kong's demand, then Kong took money from the show and merchandise sales. Boone accused Kong of assault and abuse.
Boone later posted his own verdict on the custom of paying dues: “This is NOT ‘paying your dues’ This is NOT ok. This is Assault, period.” The words gave the alleged encounter a name Boone rejected as an excuse. They also kept the money in the account—not as a side detail, but as part of what Boone said Kong took from him.
Kong answered in social-media posts with a public apology. He said he had no indication Boone felt any animosity and described their relationship as “all hugs and smiles.” Kong's response did not erase Boone's account; it supplied a competing record of the relationship between the two wrestlers.
Kong said they had worked together since the alleged confrontation at his request and that Boone had been taken care of during those matches. The locker-room account ended with exposure and lost earnings. Kong's account of what came after ended with Boone back at work.
