The Brother-Blame Allegation Behind Kid Galahad’s Failed Drug Test
After a September 2014 win, Galahad said a close family member spiked his protein shake. A reported two-year ban was left unenforced pending appeal.

“A few weeks later I found out that a close family member actually spiked me,” Kid Galahad told Sky Sports, according to Boxing News Online. Galahad said the alleged act explained the failed drugs test reported after his last fight, turning a routine post-bout result into a family accusation.
That fight was Galahad’s September 2014 decision win over Adeilson Dos Santos. Boxing News Online reported that Galahad said he was notified a few weeks afterward: “After my last fight I got notified a few weeks after that I failed a drugs test.” The test followed his final recorded bout in the reporting sequence.
Galahad’s account was not limited to identifying a relative. He described the alleged spiking as “a malicious act committed after an argument over money,” according to the same report. The accusation supplied his explanation for how a positive result could appear after the fight, but it remained his account rather than an independently verified finding in the reporting.
The result also produced a public response from Galahad. Boxing News Online reported that he posted on Twitter that he was “devastated at the finding against me” and was “taking legal advice about an appeal.” His statement came as the disputed explanation met the formal consequences of anti-doping enforcement.
Boxing247 reported that the UK’s NADA had handed Galahad a two-year ban. The report also said the sanction was not immediately enforced while the result of his appeal was pending. The allegation concerned what Galahad said happened inside his family; the decision governing his boxing status sat with the anti-doping process, and for the time being that decision remained suspended.
